Mintal and TÜV Rheinland have signed contracts (V&V) for both Concept Certificate (Validation) and Product Certificate (Verification) for Renewable Hydrogen and its Derivative (Ammonia)

In April 2024, Mintal signed a green certification service agreement with TÜV Rheinland. As an EU-recognized third-party verification body, TÜV Rheinland will provide green hydrogen and green ammonia design compliance certification services for Mintals hydrogen and ammonia production systems. This certification aims to confirm the feasibility of the technical route from the project design stage, categorized as “validate.” The certification is expected to be completed by September 2024.

Additionally, Mintal and TÜV Rheinland signed another service agreement for green hydrogen/green ammonia product certification. This certification aims to prove compliance with the EU RED II and TUV H2.21 standards from the perspective of final green hydrogen and green ammonia production and actual data, categorized as “verify.” This certification is expected to be completed after project commissioning.

The certification services under these two agreements form a complete V&V (validate & verify) loop for the certification of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives in the EU.
